What is Wi-Fi 7?
Wi-Fi 7 technology is built to support faster speeds, lower latency, increased capacity—and is more efficient than previous generations, offering speeds up to two times faster than Wi-Fi 6.

When should I upgrade my router?
If you’re experiencing slower Wi-Fi speeds than you used to, if the range of your Wi-Fi seems to have dropped off, or if your devices are having trouble staying connected to Wi-Fi, then it might be time for an upgrade. Can I use eero 7 with other eero devices?
Yes, eero 7 is backwards compatible with all previous generations of eero and compatible with eero Built-in on select Amazon Echo devices.

Yes, eero 7 has a built-in smart home hub, so you can connect Thread devices, as well as Matter and Zigbee devices (as a controller only).

Should I get eero Pro 7 or eero 7?
Customers who want the advantages of Wi-Fi 7 at a lower cost and have fewer high-bandwidth activities, such as VR/AR applications, HD security cameras and 8K video streaming running simultaneously, will find eero 7 to be a better value for their Wi-Fi needs.

Can I use eero 7 outdoors?
No, eero 7 is an indoor device only. Instead, take a look at eero Outdoor 7 to extend your indoor Wi-Fi network to the outdoors. It meets the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard rating of IP66. With an IP66 rating for protection from dust, rain and snow, eero Outdoor 7 can safely remain outdoors all year round (tested to operate between -40°F and 131°F).
